Waverly Gardens offers an array of living and care options so you're sure to find the right fit. The staff at Presbyterian Homes really seem to care about the well-being of my elderly relatives. They know them by name and recognize me as a granddaughter, and are able to remain very professional while giving very personalized care to my grandparents. My grandmother has memory loss and can be a bit difficult to deal with at times, but the staff has never-ending patience with her. Presbyterian Homes facilities have above-average quality food for their residents and try to provide every amenity possible to create the "comforts of home". The staff were distant and obviously busy.
The staff during the tour was very lovely, and knowledgeable, took plenty of time with us, and answered all our questions. We stayed for lunch one day and it was delicious. They have a nice little shop and a cafe that you can go to. At Arbor Memory Care, we strive to create a vibrant and supportive community for our residents. Activities
She is almost under supervision all the time. The only activity they have is rehabilitation exercises; that's the only one I saw. The people that are there are old people and all they do is sit in their wheelchairs and do nothing all day. The only activity they have is watching TV. Waverly Gardens was a very active and welcoming community.
Our on call minimum is 2 shifts per month. Will need weekend and weekday availability to get trained in the beginning. I liked Waverly Gardens, but they had a long wait list. It was on a lake with wheelchair-accessible paths all around it, a solarium, a movie theater, a putting green, and a workshop for the men. I think it's very popular or else people just aren't moving. They have a pool, and a workshop for the men, and they also have meals provided if you're interested. They have the three steps, independent living, assisted living, and beyond, which we like. It's very pretty and it looks comfortable, and we like the units that we looked at. They have a laundry facility and a fireplace.

There were plenty of activities and my mom especially liked that there was a pool, an exercise facility, theater rooms, and a nice solarium. The apartments were clean, spacious, and updated. A part of it looked like a restaurant, a part of it looked like a home and it was inviting. There was a salon, a library, and a room that doubled as a church and a music/activity room. Andrea gave a nice tour and was very informative. She wasn't pushy, but she answered all our questions.
There were shops like a wood shop and paint shop, and we can keep busy with exercises. It was very good and clean, the staff member was very courteous, and very informative. As an employee of Presbyterian Homes & Services, I have the opportunity to visit Waverly Gardens often. It's a beautiful community filled with great people. I only ate there once so it didn't really matter. Naturally nearly all of the attendants seem depressed and/or distant, but that was understandable and there were a few people that were very friendly. All in all I would rate it as a good visit, however brief and strange.
